PALZ Newsletter: December

Hello friends! I just put the entire PALZ team on alert because a Christmas mysterious developed in my backyard.
Here’s what happened this morning:
“In my dreams, I was chasing a rabbit when a familiar bark woke me up from my nap. Smilla, standing on the picnic table in her yard, repeatedly barked my name very loudly. I stretched and went over to the fence to see what all the ruckus was about. Miss Kitty and Lucky came over to their fence too.
Smilla urged us to look at my doghouse. Puzzled, I turned and what I saw shocked me. The Christmas tinsel that I had hung on my doghouse was gone! Vanished!
The team and I searched everywhere in my yard for the missing decorations. I even searched for it in my owner’s house. We could not find the tinsel anywhere!
We all wondered, what happened to the tinsel?”
Kids, the team and I need your help to solve this mystery. Complete these three puzzles to find clues that will lead us to the missing tinsel.

Intelligence Report from Miss Kitty, Lucky & Smilla:
Great job helping us locate all the clues, PALZ friends! Let’s look at them together.
Clue #1: black feather
Clue #2: tree
Clue#3: nest
Questions to think about:
*What has black feathers and makes a nest in a tree?
If you answered a black bird, you would be correct.
*What black bird likes shiny things?
If you guessed a crow, you’d be correct.
In fact, we know a crow who DOES like to take shiny things to his nest. Crooky Crow has a nest in the treein Bart’s backyard! Miss Kitty snuck up to his nest and found the tinsel!
With the decorations back on Bart’s dog house, the team can celebrate Christmas now. Thank you PALZ friends for helping us solve the mystery! See you next year for another adventure.
