Hello kids! Bart here. This month the team picked out a few adventures to share with you from the states of Maryland, Delaware and our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

Did you know these fun facts about Washington, D.C., Maryland and Delaware?
President John Quincy Adams (1825-1829) had an alligator living in the White House.It was a gift from the Marquis de Lafayette and it lived in a White House bathroom.
Maryland’s official state dessert is the Smith Island Cake.It’s yellow cake with lots of chocolate frosting. Yum!
A company in Delaware has made spacesuits used by NASA since the Apollo program in the 1960s!

Miss Kitty’s Intel
Visiting Washington, D.C. can be a lot of fun! The National Mall is the purrfect place to relax and visit the monuments. Don’t forget to take pictures!
When you’re ready for some air conditioning, head inside the National Museum of Natural History to get up close to a mega-toothed shark and dinosaur fossils. You can also watch live butterflies and visit an insect zoo to see BUGS!
Finally, not too far from the National Mall, you can visit the International Spy Museum to learn spy skills like code breaking. You can also see some really neat undercover animals like pigeons that flew with attached cameras recording information for the good guys during World War I.

Smilla’s Adventures
Hello everyone! There are many fun places to visit in Maryland and Delaware. Here are three adventures for you.
P.S. Don’t forget to eat a crab cake! I hear from my humans that Maryland’s crab cakes are yummy.

National Aquarium, Baltimore: The National Aquarium is a terrific place to view marine life and explore exhibits about the oceans, seas and Baltimore harbor.

Annapolis Harbor: You can be a pirate! Sail with Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake at Annapolis Harbor. Have fun on board, Mateys! Argh!!

Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Delaware: The Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk offers theme parks, rides, games and food, food, food! Plus you can go to the beach, swim, ride bicycles and even play volleyball. Be safe & have fun!
